It's maximum Clint - all terse and mumbling and squinty-eyed and that sort of thing. It's maximum Duvall - a thoroughly vile and nasty land-grabber with less heart than the Tin Man. Who shanghais Clint to help track down a Mexican rebel agitating for justice for his people. Who is played by that famous Mexican actor (?), John Saxon. The script by Elmore Leonard is pretty much point A to point B and it's a bit muddled but it sure holds your attention.
